With direct lineage back to 1866, The Brockville Rifles are one of Canada’s oldest Regiment’s.

The Traditions, Uniforms, and Tactics used by Rifle Regiments can be traced back to the 18th Century and the invention of The Baker Rifle. The Brockville Rifles hold these traditions in the highest regard, maintaining them for more than 300 years.

From defending Canada during the War of 1812 at Niagara, to serving on the front lines in Afghanistan and everywhere in between, The Brocks have continuously been a driving force behind the operational success of the Canadian Forces.

Today, The Brockville Rifles continue to serve as an Infantry Regiment in the Primary Reserves of the Canadian Armed Forces under 33 Canadian Brigade Group, 4th Canadian Division.

Brutalism in Architecture express the essential qualities of a building’s materials and structure in an honest and direct way. Architectural style emerged in mid-20s, based in raw and unadorned use of concrete.

Named by the French term béton raw, or raw concrete, Brutalism became popular in the post-WWII era, when the need for affordable housing and public buildings led to widespread use of concrete.
